Hours & Admission
The American Maple Museum is open seasonally, from Memorial Day weekend through early September. Within the season, the schedule shifts at July 1 — the museum runs three days a week in June and six days a week in July and August. Admissions help support a non-profit, volunteer-run museum.
Seasonal Hours
| Season | Days Open | Hours |
|---|---|---|
| Memorial Day to June 30 | Friday, Saturday, and Monday | 11:00 AM – 4:00 PM |

- Independence Day (July 4): Open with regular hours

Last Admission
The last admission is at 3:00 PM — one hour before closing. This gives visitors enough time for a thorough self-guided tour of all three floors before the museum closes at 4:00 PM. The gift shop also closes at 4:00.

Why Admission Matters
The museum is a non-profit. Admissions, gift-shop sales, the annual pancake breakfast, and individual donations are what keep the doors open. Every $5 admission goes directly to maintaining the building, preserving the artifacts, and paying the small operating costs of a volunteer-run institution.
Group Tours
Groups of 10 or more are welcome with at least one week's advance notice. Group tours can be self-guided (standard admission rates apply) or led by a volunteer docent (slightly higher rate; call to discuss). To reserve a group tour, call (315) 346-1107 or email [email protected].
School Groups
School groups receive the $1-per-student rate, with adult chaperones admitted free at a 1:8 ratio (one free chaperone per eight students). Additional chaperones are admitted at the standard adult rate. Reservations are required — please call at least two weeks in advance during the spring booking season.
Payment
Cash and most major credit cards accepted at the museum entrance. For group bookings, we can also accept checks made payable to "American Maple Museum" and invoice school groups through their districts.
