For the Press

Press inquiries — interviews, photo shoots, feature writing — should email with "PRESS" in the subject line. We typically respond within one business day. Photo shoots and on-site interviews are best scheduled for early in the season or during quieter weekday afternoons.

For Researchers

Scholars, graduate students, and journalists working on serious projects related to North American maple sugaring, Adirondack regional history, or the history of New York State agriculture should email with "RESEARCH" in the subject line and a description of your project. Additional materials beyond what is on public display may be available by appointment.

For School Teachers

Teachers planning a class visit should reach out at least two weeks in advance, ideally during the spring booking season. Email with "SCHOOL" in the subject line, your school's name, grade level, approximate group size, preferred dates, and any specific curricular goals you'd like the visit to support. School visits

For Maple Producers

Maple producers — particularly those with artifacts to donate, historical documents to share, or interest in being part of the museum's volunteer network — are warmly welcomed. The museum's roots are in the maple-producing community, and we work closely with state and provincial maple syrup associations across North America.

For Genealogy & Family History

If you're researching a family connection to the maple industry — a grandparent who was inducted into the Hall of Fame, an ancestor's sugarbush in the region, or a historical photograph that might be in our collection — please get in touch. We don't have research staff, but we'll do our best to help.

For Feedback

If something didn't go right at your visit, we want to know directly. Email us — every message reaches a volunteer who can do something about it. Public reviews on Tripadvisor and Google are appreciated but slower to reach the people who can actually fix problems.
